چکیده

In this paper, we consider using the neural networks to efficiently solve the second-order cone constrained variational inequality (SOCCVI) problem. More specifically, two kinds of neural networks are proposed to deal with the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) conditions of the SOCCVI problem. The first neural network uses the FischerBurmeister (FB) function to achieve an unconstrained minimization which is a merit function of the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker equation. We show that the merit function is a Lyapunov function and this neural network is asymptotically stable. The second neural network is introduced for solving a projection formulation whose solutions coincide with the KKT triples of SOCCVI problem. Its Lyapunov stability and global convergence also affiliated with Department of Mathematics, National Taiwan Normal University. Unified canonical duality methodology for global optimization

A unified methodology is presented for solving general global optimization problems. Based on the canonical dualitytriality theory, the nonconvex/nonsmooth/discrete problems from totally different systems are reformulated as a canonical min–max problem, which is equivalent to a monotone variational inequality problem over a convex cone. Therefore, a complementary-dual projection method is used ...

Solving Variational Inequality Problems with Linear Constraints Based on a Novel Recurrent Neural Network

Variational inequalities with linear inequality constraints are widely used in constrained optimization and engineering problems. By extending a new recurrent neural network [14], this paper presents a recurrent neural network for solving variational inequalities with general linear constraints in real time. The proposed neural network has onelayer projection structure and is amenable to parall...

Sl1QP Based Algorithm with Trust Region Technique for Solving Nonlinear Second-Order Cone Programming Problems

In this paper, we propose an algorithm based on Fletcher’s Sl1QP method and the trust region technique for solving Nonlinear Second-Order Cone Programming (NSOCP) problems. The Sl1QP method was originally developed for nonlinear optimization problems with inequality constraints. It converts a constrained optimization problem into an unconstrained problem by using the l1 exact penalty function, ...

An efficient one-layer recurrent neural network for solving a class of nonsmooth optimization problems

Constrained optimization problems have a wide range of applications in science, economics, and engineering. In this paper, a neural network model is proposed to solve a class of nonsmooth constrained optimization problems with a nonsmooth convex objective function subject to nonlinear inequality and affine equality constraints. It is a one-layer non-penalty recurrent neural network based on the...

Sequential Optimality Conditions and Variational Inequalities

In recent years, sequential optimality conditions are frequently used for convergence of iterative methods to solve nonlinear constrained optimization problems. The sequential optimality conditions do not require any of the constraint qualications. In this paper, We present the necessary sequential complementary approximate Karush Kuhn Tucker (CAKKT) condition for a point to be a solution of a ...
